5 Wellness Essentials for Your Next Trip
We’ve all been there: You’ve packed your suitcase and are heading out on a one-week vacation, ready to indulge in a little R&R. But with all the excitement of finally getting away from it all, you might have forgotten a few key items.
This is where our list of five wellness essentials can come in handy. These are the things that are a must for your trip!
1. A water bottle (if not already in your bag)
You’ll need to stay hydrated while traveling and you can easily get by with just one bottle. Make sure to keep the lid tight, so that it won’t break while in storage.
2. A yoga mat/towel
Yoga mats are great for beach travel. Just roll it up and stuff it into your suitcase, when you’re not using it. It’s always good to have something to sit or lie on during the trip, whether you decide to do a quick sun salutation on the beach or use a towel at your hotel. Either way, having a yoga mat (or towel) can come in handy!
3. Healthy snacks
When we’re on the go, it’s easy to rely on junk food to fill us up and give us energy. But healthy snacks like nuts, trail mix and dried fruit can help keep you full for longer and give you a burst of energy when you need it most!
4. A journal
If you’re not one to journal every day, this is a great time to start! Even if all you have time for is a few notes in the evening, it allows your mind to reflect on the day, so that you can be more present each time you look back.
5. Something relaxing to read
Whether it’s a book, magazine or even a good article online, packing something light that you can read is a must. Make sure to choose something that gets you into the mood and makes you feel more relaxed – whether that’s light fiction or non-fiction. The last thing you want to do is sit around thumbing through your phone for hours on end.

Hand sanitizer
You are going to meet lots of new people on this trip and you will become vulnerable to germs from other people. So it’s important to take something with you that will help you remove any germs quickly. Hand sanitizer is the best way to remove dirt and germs from your hands.
