32 Easy Detox Water Recipes With Glorious Pics!

Not Just for Summer!

These delicious detox water recipes are not JUST to be enjoyed during the summer time! Also please don’t think about weight loss only – these recipes are also good for you in general, so even though ‘flat belly’ sounds good, a ‘healthy mind’ sounds better.

All these recipes have been taken from different places on the web, mainly because the pics looked absolutely gorgeous and I just knew they would be fairly easy to prepare.

1. Detox Water Recipe for Flat Belly

Mint never fails to be such a lovely ingredient when it comes not only to water but other recipes as well. I remember we used to have it on egg soup… it was the touch that made the soup a divine meal. Go figure!

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 Mint, Leaves
  • 1/2 cup Watermelon
  • 1 Water, Filtered

PREPARATION

  • 1. In a large jar add the watermelon – I suggest freezing the watermelon before hand
  • 2. Add mint leaves
  • 3. Add water
  • 4. Allow to chill for 10 minutes before drinking

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 lemon

PREPARATION

  • Mix 1 tsp honey and 1 lemon in 1 glass of warm water. Drink in the morning on an empty stomach.

3. Detox Water Recipe for Rapid Weight Loss

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 2 limes, sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes
  • Water

PREPARATION

  • In a half-gallon jar, or a 2 quart pitcher, layer the strawberries, cucumbers, lime slices, and mint leaves with the ice cubes. Fill jar or pitcher with water. Let chill for 10 minutes, and then enjoy!

Cucumber is definitely one of my favourite ingredients for detox water recipes because of the colour and the smell.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber sliced
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 8 cups of water

PREPARATION

  • Slice 1 lemon, 1/2 cucumber and 10 mint leaves. Mix it in 6 cups of water and let it steep overnight. Sip on it the next day.

5. Detox Water Recipe for Flat Belly

Flat belly we here come! No, seriously, apple and cinnamon together?? Any time!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 large sliced apple
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3. Pitcher of ice water

PREPARATION

  • When making detox water it’s important to let it sit in the refrigerator for at least two hours before drinking. This will allow the nutrients to seep into the water. When making detox water, many people recommend not eating the fruit afterwards. While eating the fruit certainly won’t harm you, it may not have the same flavor or pack the same nutritional punch as it did before.

6. Detox Water Recipe for Cleansing & Weight Loss

Cleansing the body is an important way to keep in top form. Watermelon, lemon juice, green tea and blueberries. Waterlicious!

INGREDIENTS

  • Diced watermelon
  • 1 tea spoon of lemon juice

PREPARATION

  • Add all ingredients to a large glass, cover with lid and allow to chill overnight in the refrigerator, drink throughout the day. Most importantly enjoy that fresh taste.

I personally prefer lime to lemon but this is a difficult one. Lemon is fantastic to add that touch even though lime can make it very zingy. 

INGREDIENTS

  • -1-2 liters’ of water, depending on how strong you want it to taste
  • -Part of 1 watermelon or 1 cucumber
  • -1 lemon or lime
  • -A handful of fresh mint leaves (approximately 10-13)
  • -Ice cubes

PREPARATION

  • Slice up a good amount of watermelon into cubes, rind and all, and put them into a jug or pitcher. Cut 1 juicy lime into wedges and toss in with the watermelon. Add a handful of fresh, fragrant, mint leaves and pour in 2 liters of cool water, filling the jug all the way to the top. Let this sit overnight in the fridge and let all the yummy flavors steep and infuse the water. When you want to drink it, put in a generous helping of ice cubes, pour, and enjoy daily.

Glorious looking glasses. Very nice for the summer – I use Splenda for sweetening things up but if you don’t need that sugary extra then you better do without.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ½ cups sliced strawberries
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 lime (optional)
  • ¾ cup sugar substitute ( I used stevia)

PREPARATION

  • In a medium bowl, mix slice strawberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours (overnight is best). Remove the strawberry mixture from the refrigerator and pour into a blender and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Pour the blended mixture through a mesh strainer set over a large mixing bowl; discard the pulp and seeds. Add the remaining 3 cups cold water to the pureed strawberries and mix well. Place the strawberry water in the refrigerator to chill or pour over ice and serve.

  • 6 medium sized carrots, peeled
  • 1 lemon, peeled

  • Ice

INGREDIENTS

  • One pomegranate
  • Thick slice of ginger
  • One lemon
  • 2 cups (about 470 ml) of mineral water

PREPARATION

  • Deseed a pomegranate.
  • Combine the pomegranate seeds, peeled lemon, ginger, and half cup of mineral water into a blender. Blend for a while.
  • Pour the liquid through a strainer to remove the pomegranate seeds.
  • Add remaining mineral water and ice and the drink is done

  • 2/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sliced ginger
