Essential Oils for Wrinkles (Anti Ageing). Yes, they DO Work.

I write so you share. Thank you.

You might be tired of ineffective (and expensive) anti-ageing creams.

I was too. Years ago, I turned to natural skincare, and, oh boy, I have NOT looked back since.

As a certified organic skincare formulator (and I’m over 50 by the way), I discovered that anti-ageing natural ingredients (and simple natural skincare in general) do a MUCH BETTER job at smoothing down those fine lines and wrinkles than most high-end brands.

Trust me. I’ve been doing this for a few years now, and the results are truly GLORIOUS.

(FYI, I also sell my skincare at the local market, and the feedback has been no less than overwhelming.)

In fact, I’m starting to believe that skincare brands seem more focused on making money than looking after your skin’s health.

Since using natural ingredients, my skin (and my clients) has been transformed. It finally looks youthful, radiant, luminous, and happy! Considering how inexpensive and lovely it has been to use essential oils as well as other natural ingredients, this is no joke.

Many say there’s no scientific proof that essential oils remove fine lines and wrinkles. I disagree! I can assure you that my constant use of my own formulas (which include essential oils) are THE CAUSE of my skin looking the best it’s ever been.

I hope I have convinced you.

So, without further ado, let’s look below at my top 5 essential oils antiaging essential oils.

A quick note on our SKINCARE PHILOSOPHY:
I use the word “anti-ageing” for search purposes, but our real focus is on skin health and vitality, not looking younger by (and for) societal standards. It’s about caring for your skin naturally at any age, not just chasing youth. Please help me promote natural beauty and well-being regardless of age!

You have two options: use them on different days or create a blend by mixing them. I show you how to mix them after we go through each essential oil (below).

1. Frankincense to target fine lines and scars

This is a MUST OIL!!! My favourite essential oil for targeting all signs of ageing. I absolutely love it. Read here how I mix it with olive oil for fantastic results. If you want to learn how to diminish wrinkles with olive oil, click here.

Perfect if you are focusing on reducing fine lines and healing scars. Frankincense helps promote skin cell regeneration, making it excellent for mature or damaged skin.

Combine a few drops of Frankincense with a carrier oil like jojoba or almond oil. For every tablespoon (15 ml) of carrier oil add 3-4 drops of Frankincense for a safe and effective dilution for topical use on the skin.

After diluting, apply the mixture to your face. Try to focus on the areas with fine lines and/or scars. Use gentle, circular motions to massage it into the skin. It’s best used as part of your nightly skincare routine as it can help repair the skin overnight.

How long til you see results? Results can vary based on skin type and condition, but many start seeing noticeable skin texture and appearance improvements within a few weeks of consistent use. For best results, continue to use Frankincense oil as part of your regular skincare regimen.

2. Helichrysum for repairing (and renewing) damaged skin

I’m torn between helichrysum essential oil and frankincense essential oil. I adore them both. Some SWEAR by helichrysum’s power to rejuvenate the skin. I can’t recommend this oil enough. Give it a try and see for yourself.

Perfect if you need to repair skin damage. It will also help with the renewal of your skin. Helichrysum oil is renowned for amazing restorative properties, also helping to healing scars, reducing inflammation and improving your skin tone.

Mix 2-3 drops of Helichrysum oil with a tablespoon (15 ml) of carrier oil like grapeseed or rosehip oil. This blend is very gentle. Both grapeseed oil and rosehip oil are wonderful for mature skin.

Gently apply the oil blend to areas where you have the scars, or wrinkles are showing, or uneven skin tone. I usually apply it all over my face but this is up to you. It’s suitable for daily use, either in the morning or as part of your nighttime skincare routine.

How long til you see results? The time to see results can vary, but with consistent daily use, improvements in skin texture and appearance are typically noticeable within a month.

Helichrysum oil’s benefits increase over time, making it a valuable addition to long-term skincare routines.

Make a powerful blend by mixing ALL the oils into One Potent Mix

Combining different essential oils can enrich their individual benefits, creating a powerful, all-in-one skincare solution.

By mixing them, you multiply their multiple properties (hydration, rejuvenation, and balance – all at once).

This method meets more skin needs, giving you an all-around treatment that takes care of different skin issues.

Here’s how you can create a synergistic blend for maximum skin benefits:

Choose a base: Start with a carrier oil like jojoba (normal skin)or almond (dry skin) as your base. This will dilute the essential oils and make them safe for skin application.

For every tablespoon (15 ml) of carrier oil, add a total of 3-4 drops of essential oils. You can combine different essential oils to create a blend or use them individually.

Store your blend in a dark glass bottle to protect it from light, which can degrade the oils. I recommend these 20ml ones.

Don’t forget: ALWAYS do a patch test with your blend to ensure there’s no skin irritation or allergic reaction.
