1.2 Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) Essential Oil
When I was a little girl I used to hate the smell of fresh lavender because it somehow reminded me of older people.
How much things have changed! I couldn’t envision myself without the presence of this wonderful scent around me. I also grow lavender in my finca and I’m planning on growing more as time goes by.
Probably the most sold essential oil in the world, this should be a staple essential oil in every home. This is a cooling and relaxing oil with uplifting effects (when I smell lavender I feel like smiling, it also makes me feel happily grounded).
It can be used regularly to reduce feelings of insecurity, agitation, anger, etc.
Lavender essential oil can have a really nice effect on people who feel nervous or tense (just looking at the flowers relaxes me); and also works well on those who are sensitive in terms of their emotions, nose, chemicals, etc.

I didn’t like it that much at first, but over time and when mixed with other essential oils it does add that depth that make the aroma so beautifully balanced.
Being a flower geranium is a relaxant but it can also give you more energy if you feel tired. It magically works both ways. If you have low energy and are usually chronically tired geranium essential oil is for you.

Rose Otto and Jasmine. My Overall Favourites!
I very often find myself ‘thinking’ about rose and jasmine essential oils’ scent. It is a sort of addiction. Yes; their aroma is incredibly alluring as well compelling and attractive – all at the same time – and I can totally see how we’re on a different ‘league of essential oils’ when we talk about these two floral essential oils.
Choose One or Two to Get You Started
You might just want to try one first and get started this way OR you might want to get yourself a nice little floral essential oils kit and explore their powerful scent range and therapeutic capabilities. Up to you, but don’t let these wonderful scents pass you by!
If you’re new or new-ish to essential oils I don’t think you should be getting the whole range of floral essential oils. Just get started with one or two, follow the recipes and ideas regarding the oil and look for more ideas online. Get to know that oil and make the most of it.
You can always expand your floral essential oil collection as you go along. Some of these oils can be quite expensive and we need to be watchful on how we use them, which should be with care and respect. These plants have spent many years growing for you to get the one drop of gloriousness in your hands!
