The Lovely Aromatherapy Kit I Received when Doing Neal’s Yard Remedies Online Course

I write so you share. Thank you.

I should have uploaded the photos quite a while ago but I must confess I totally forgot about it.

When I received the kit last year I was so chuffed! I also have to admit I’m reluctant to use the essential oils and, as time goes by, I know I should just use them asap. The reason I haven’t used them is because I have all these essential oils in their ‘non-organic’ versions so these have become sort of ‘golddust’ – and I’m ‘saving’ them.

Neal’s Yard Remedies essential oils are not cheap! The company stocks a wide range of organic essential oils so I do understand. Also, the company’s ethos regarding product sourcing as well as sustainability is extremely high, so the oils do come at a price. Just check out how they combat slavery in their supply chain so you can get a feel for the high standards when it comes to ethical issues. You can also check their ethics page here.

The course cost me around $131 (£100) but I’ve just seen it’s gone up by £10. Is it worth it? Well, all the information I learnt can be found in the different books and trusted online sources for sure, but I did want to have a certificate from Neal’s Yard Remedies, what can I say.

Lynn and I also did a one day Intro to Herbal Remedies course (this was at their premises in Covent Garden) which was delightful. Again, not a cheap course (none of these natural skincare/aromatherapy/herbal remedies courses are) but there’s a lot of work that goes into the research, etc, so I’m not complaining.

I opted for the aromatherapy online course with the kit (you can choose with or without the kit), just because I wanted to receive the beautiful essential oils. And I did.

Not a big box, but beautifully, beautifully packed!

Natural organic health & beauty… Nice! : )

Straight away on the packaging we can see Neal’s Yard Remedies ethos. The box is made with sustainably source card and printed with water-based inks. Obviously they also ask you to reuse or recycle the box. Nice touch to have the fsc.org website (forests for all forever) heading the text.

As you open the cardboard box you get greeted with a lovely, lovely message:

“We believe in beauty and wellbeing that radiates happiness. Using natural and organic ingredients made from ethically sourced herbs, botanicals and essential oils. Crafted with care at our eco factory in Dorset. We create potent blends of love, science and nature. We do all these things so you can feel good and look good naturally. FEEL THE LOVE.”

What a wonderful message!! I’m pleased, oh yes!

Exciting! A nice little box inside. A box inside a box…

Isn’t that botanically-themed paper absolutely DELIGHTFUL??

“The Little Book of Essential Oils” (literally).

And… the goodies inside.

Oh mighty health! Well worth it!!

3 organic essential oils (bergamot, geranium and lavender) and a lovely bottle of almond oil. Delicious. Everything beautifully placed on top of the stunning botanically-themed paper.

I’m glad I finally got to post these pics : )

xx
