My Art Naturals Argan Oil Shampoo Review (with Alternatives Options Below)
My hair has always been thin (very thin and curly) and when I was younger I remember looking at the top of my head noticing the bald-ish patch-area (which I also had around the sides of my head). I did try to hide the patches in numerous ways (although I have to say I was never too bothered about the bald-y areas, just bothered enough to comb the hair or style it in particular ways).
Once I hit the menopause the problem seemed to get a little worse (the bald-ish patch-areas were looking more obvious). Still not overly concerned, I decided to look for a solution.
My hairdresser recommended Loreal’s Professionel Serioxyl Denser Hair Treatment [aff link], which I used for a couple of years (around 3 bottles). After using it for some time my patches did look denser. I’m not sure if it worked or not, but but the patches were less obvious (and that’s the reason why I continued using the product for 2 years).
Before Loreal’s Seriouxyl I also tried a different product which was supposed to be good. I’m not sure how much this product helped, but my hairdresser suggested I’d use L’Oreal’s Serioxyl Denser Hair and I did. Either way, m ‘worries’ regarding my thinning hair lasted 1 or 2 years. I was ‘working’ on my spirituality which I always new was the key to all the problems.
A few years later, my bald-ish patches are still there and my hair is still thin. The patches are not prominent enough for me to do anything about them and I only see them on the sides at times (I just comb through and forget about them). I haven’t used products other than a sulfate-free shampoo and a cheap conditioner which I love which some point it will have to go (I need to check the ingredients). The idea is that eventually I only use as natural products as possible.

Part of the appeal of comes from its ‘best of both worlds’ approach. From Art Naturals’ appearance is deceptive – it looks like a regular beauty and haircare aisle product.
That said, there’s something nice about a natural product arriving in a dark glass bottle. Is it practical though? Not always, so this is really a case for personal preference.
According to the creators, a 16 oz bottle should last for about 3 months. Wow! So you might need to clear a little space on the side of the shower for this good-sized supply but speaking from my own hair-washing experience I’d be pleased to see it last so long.

Nutritionists like Jo Lewin say that you can add biotin, or vitamin H, to your diet to help improve hair growth. Oprah’s favourite Dr Oz agrees – he explains that it works by encouraging the blood supply to hair follicles and smooth down the ‘tiles’ that cover each strand.
